priming on an old Hornady press

Hi guys. Back bugging you with more questions about a first press...

I've been given the option to buy an old cast-iron Hornady press. It looks like the photo below, the guy doesn't know what model it is but it has "250" on it. It's an oldie, but comes with good reviews from a guy who was borrowing it. Anyway, it doesn't have a primer arm. Does anyone know if & where I could get a new one for it?

I know a lot of people prefer hand-primers, but I don't have one and a couple of very experienced reloaders have advised me it's better to prime on the press. Either way, it's an extra cost that I need to factor into my decision, and I may be better to wait until I can pick up a press that comes with a primer arm.

hand priming is good/better in that you can "feel" when primer meets resistance...plenty cheaply available.....

What he says, the cheapest hand primer is the Lee you just need to add shell holders for the calibres you load for, Reloader Supplies have them and sell online.

As stated in a post above, a hand primer is a better option than priming on a single stage press. You have better feel for primer seating. Buy a RCBS hand primer, they are pretty good.
