FMJ dont help. it's all about placement. some close head shot you win, long distance shoulder shot you except back legs only. like previous posts, velocity, placement. they are just too slight in build for fmj to help.

I think your on a hiding to not much here, the body mass is so small that anything but a head drifting down to neck shot is going to cause massive damage
I've been shooting Serria 77gr MK's out of my 223 and on hares, good job, on a wallaby if it's not a head shot it's no good, I will not use them or anything like them on the bigger animal again.
Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
Or anything from a 270 would probably stun it long enough to come in and slit it's throat aye @jakewire
TRY a box of highland factory....it is rather slow and shoots low.....head shots are best for meat recovery.heck even with the mighty poohseventy with full noise deer loads you can pluck head off with neck/shoulder shot and still have usable back wheels and MOST of the back straps.
Just shoot cheap FMJ bullets. No expansion, you dont need it on hares
