Thread: projectiles - any news on future shipments ?

any one got the scoop on when we are likely to see any new stocks arriving of 7mm or 30 cal ..... or anything really ? Hornady, Sierra (TMKs), Speer, Berger VLDs, etc
Have a few stocks that will last a while but would be good to know how long before we can expect to be able to top up

Not N.Z I know but I just popped into a gun shop near my work and the shelves are full of powder and projectiles, brass and primers not so much.

My mate in Christchurch told me last night that GC is meant to be getting projectiles in about 2 weeks, there is a shipment in Auckland so will be distributed shortly

Steves Wholesale were hoping their shipment of Hornady stuff would be arriving around the 10th March (so about now)

very large Hornady shipment supposed to be arriving mid march to my knowledge, so if we see them april id be happy

I had an email from a gun shop yesterday, Hornady projectiles due next week but a lot are filling backorders and some backorders will miss out too

You can import projectiles yourself from the US.
It's not cheap, shipping especially, but can fill the gap.

Got an email from Amanda yesterday re their shipment arriving/arrived?
Some of the stock arriving will only be enough to fill back orders.

Unfortunately I deleted the email.
It was a big list though.
Cannot find it on their website or Facebook.

Interesting (and disappointing) that there was no 162gr 7mm projectiles on that list. I hope that’s not the same around the other retailers, or my .358 is going to be doing the lion’s share of the hunting for a while.

I haven,t been able to find any retailer in the states who will do the export of the projectiles, so if you have a contact , i,d like to contact them for some 7mm .

You have to look for someone who isn't a "US Retailer."
The big retailers won't help you.


Try Reloading International.
I've imported 1000s of projectiles from them to get the quantity I need, not to undermine NZ retailers.
To make it economic you'll need to order 19 lb to fill the box.

Remember there is a shortage even in the US.

There is ment to be no 6.5 143 ELDX or RL26 coming in the next shipment
