Thread: Promising Start

71 grs of 2217 got around 3000 fps with the 162 gr ELDX in my rifle. I only got 6 projectiles of each caliber so limited to what I can do. The three shots above show promise so I have loaded the last three at 65.8 grains of RL 26 so should be over 2900 fps and hopefully the groups stay the same or shrink a bit. Hope to get a shot at a deer tomorrow with one.
I may look at buying a box of 175's for the Rem Mag as I think with a bit of playing around it will shoot well and should be a good bullet up close and at distance.
