Same problem so I modified mine on the weekend. Cut the head off a flat head nail with hacksaw and super glued onto the bottom of the primer rod in the large primer tray and it pushes up another 2mm now. Sorted.

Been using one of these for last few years,, well made, great to use....
100%. I traditionally have used an RCBS hand tool/tray but after many years and -1000s- of rounds, it had become worn and failed to seat tight primers to fully flush. At the suggestion of various F Open team mates, I got one of these 21st Century ones and couldn't be happier. It's easily adjustable in 1 thou increments to suit exact needs, has extremely high build quality with good feel but efficient seating power.

This sort of repair is exactly what I joined the forum for

I have used the a few Lee hand primers for years and only the other week upgraded to the PCPS next gen precision primer seating system by Derraco Engineering NZ, It's Awesome.
Micrometer depth increments of 0.01mm and takes the Lee shell holders.
I have my eye on some of the other stuff they sell.

I have been mucking around with a PCPS next gen precision primer seating system by Derraco Engineering as well.

I really rate it. I have been using Lee and RCBS hand primers for years. This PCPS urinates all over them.
Very accurate and affordable piece of kit.
