    seems waytoo much powder, has a fair bit of recoil for a 308

    I was literally doing that exact recipe for a mate last night. First things first. If that's a Tikka then you're way too heavy. Im told that's a 1/11 twist barrel so you will do much better with lighter projectiles. My mate told me his results before even asking me 1.5 to 2 moa with 180's vs same hole using 150's.

    Im running 1-11 and having no trouble with 175s etc. in fact Im keen to try 2209 with 200 elds or 190/200 vlds

    Bugger, I think I mist the bit about a herd of elephants found in nz, mind I`m getting up to them, 44grs, 3031 and 405gr lead bullet in 45-70, .
