    Quickload Calc for me please

Hey all, can someone please run some scenarios for me.

    24inch 1-8 twist barrel,
    7mm saum cartridge
    168g berger vld hunters
    Fed 215 primers

I'm looking for a good starting and a good max point for 2217 powder, rl33 powder and rl17 powder and rl26. Or if these powders are a waste compared to running rl26 ?

    Asking as I have heard 2217 is great and accurate, I have 2kg of 2217, 2lb of rl17, 8lb of rl33 and 1lb of rl26.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Rl26 is unsafe and should not be used........send to me and I will dispose of safely in small amounts

Hahaha I started load dev on rl26, but curious where the others would stand. It throws the 168g berger vld @ 2997

Not much of a gain in weight and perhaps ballisticly inferior to a 153 atip at 2950?
Interesting with the slightly biggger case over prc.

That's a brand new barrel... should get up around 3050 atleast after a fee hundy rounds.

I’m running 168 berger classic hunters w 60-61gn RL23 in my SAUM, 22in bbl 2930 fps. Pressure signs started at 61.5gn. Speed ok but stupidly accurate.
Have seen others posting RL26 loads around 63gn with 168 Bergers, but work up carefully

Yeah my rl26 load is 64.2g new barrel and 2997. So should speed up a bit over time. But I was interested instead seeing what other powders I have would roughly do.

That extra capacity allows it to shoot up to the 195s and still yield decent velocity’s that extra .5mm and 15 gns puts a lot of hurt on target 190 atip would be a better comparison because then they would both be heavy for calibre and both the same projectile . The 190 atip at 2850 holds 400ft-lbs more energy at 1000 and has the same drop of 23moa than the 153 at 3000 . I would say Lars will push a 190 atip at 2900ish with a 24” barrel

Yes heavy for caliber the bigger case will win everytime......why I was interested comparing a slightly lighter bullet out of a bigger bore and case and longer barrel.
