    Greetings again @scotty,
I went down this road back in the 1970's. At the time I was rather rifle poor with one .308 rifle. I started using 180 grain spire point and flat point projectiles. I found that about 2 grains extra of IMR4064 powder raised the point of impact 2 inches at 100 yards which I think is what you are after. The fly in the ointment was that the flat point projectile shot to one side or the other and there was no way of adjusting for this. Scopes of the day were not the easy dial ones we have today. I fiddled with this for quite a bit so will dig out my notes and targets and report back in a day or two.
    Regards Grandpamac.
