I wouldn’t touch standard monos out of a 12” barrel for a 300m shot on a big deer if you paid me five times my asking price. Recipe for disaster. There’s more than enough evidence of poor mono expansion at lower impact velocity, from all over the world, god forbid you miss the shoulder and get the ribs and rear lungs. See ya later long runner.

Light mono's going fast are great in the bush, but further out heavy and soft wins the race.
