    I get good speed 2900fps with RL15 and 140NBT. Can't remember the load but it's around 44g
The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds

49/50 grns 2209 usually works (take care, that's getting to the limit). Have you adjusted the lead to see if that makes a difference? The Berger site gives some advice on this. They can be finicky. You might want to try Nosler BT. They just about always shoot well.
R15 was accurate in my last one but I couldn't get the speed. 2208 is probably the most common powder used in 7/08.

The other thing is that you need to be sipping a Late between test shots, and cock your right little finger slightly while you are firing the rifle.

As above. Seating depth is very important with the bergers. Do test loads at 40 thou intervals as the website suggests and you will find where they shoot best. Ido this with all vld tyle bullets now

As the others have said this morning, look at the seating of the VLDs or swap to a different projectile. If you've shot 50 already and got nowhere it's either that or the scopes bung.

I've found in my tikka...with the 140gr 2208 works best but when I go up to 162gr 2209 works best......not sure on speed just most accurate in my rifle.

Funny you mentioned the scope,a friend also suggested it this morning,I hope not its a brand new pm2 sitting in a spuhr mount. Tomorrow will try new projis and swap over scopes and see what happens.

The 140 Nosler BT and Sierra GameKing are easy to get to shoot and kill well. They shoot well with RL15 and 2208 in my Blaser. A friend has similar accuracy with 2209. Forget the Bergers if you're going to have to fuck around so much. They won't kill any better nor will the better BC be realised in a hunting scenario.

May fly. This may help. Am using RL17 in my Kimber 708. 22" barrel. Fed brass and primers 140gr accubonds started at 46gr and up to 49gr and settled on 47 for 1" groups with my lousey shooting. I have no idea what speed they are doing as dont have chrono. Am happy with the 17 as I use it also in 270wsm 300wsm and 7mm saum. kinda one powder fits all. Not about to try it in the 44mag though.

    I'm getting great accuracy with 140gr BT's and 2208.

    Similar results with 2206h also.
