Hi All,
still researching and working on loads for my 6xc.
been looking at data for 6mm22x250 as more or less the same dimensions
and very little from powder/ammo company manuals
I keep finding recipes online and have been given peoples'"own loads"for the 6XC
that well exceed the max stated in powder manufacturers manuals for 6mmx250
Admittedly a lot of info online is from the target shooting guys so they are using
28,30inch or even longer barrels and heavier bullets.
I would have thought that would increase pressures even more?
Am I missing something?
How are these overmax charges developed
Do I just keep going past the max loads until I see signs of pressure?
All a bit OTT really as I'm only looking for an accurate hunting load,
but figure the faster they go,the flatter and cause more damage when they get there.
and I'm interested in experimenting.
Any comments?

Just start at the recomended start load and work up in .5 grain steps until you find the best accuracy seat the projectile at mag length
and don't adjust it until you find the best powder charge,
