    Recovered 178gr eld-M

I like seeing this sort of thing so Here's a recovered eld-M from a spiker I shot on Thursday evening, pulled it out of the front of the back steak tonight...... The hole in front of back steak was around fist size with plenty of bone in it..... Shot was front on...... Must have been under 100 because I hit it first shot lol, pretty sure it was around 80yards, mv is 2920fps out of my 20 inch 300wsm

Dont waste your time chasing every last fps, it doesnt matter in the real world, it wont make a difference, all it will do is cause head aches and frustrations. And dont listen to silly old cunts

    Shot!

I got those 168 LRAB shooting about .75" @ 3030fps first off. Will post a pic if I ever shoot something with them.

Looks good, they are meant to be explosive up close so that would certainly prove that by what you recovered. I am running those in my 300 Win Mag and shot a sambar spiker at about 50 yards, it died right there but the bullet didn't exit. Will post any pictures if we get some of recovered bullets and damage over the next several months if we get a few animals.
Currently I have the 178 gr in the 300 and 145gr in the 270, Beeman is using 143gr in his 260 and his son and another mate will be using the 150 gr in 7mm 08's ( all ELD-X) so hopefully we will get some good info out of the exercise.
