    Question Recycling casings

    Hey guys,
    What do you do with your used casings? Can you recycle them?
    Or do they either have to go to the landfill if you're not gonna reload them?

    Cheers!

    @samusugiru

    Your local scrap metal merchant will usually take empty casings off your hands and give you a few dollars for them, but if you shoot something anywhere near exotic, it will be more responsible to on-sell the once-fired cases in the Buy & Sell section of this forum.

    Sorry to hijack but I seem to remember spent primers being sought after by scrap merchants?
    Or have I got that wrong?

    Yes, at a local club I seen ice cream containers full of used primers.
    However the local scrap guy I talked to wasn't keen, something about might be a live one in there, I was more thinking brass, I'm not sure what he was thinking. And he's only one guy, others might take them.

    Brass casings are about half the cost of the price you pay for factory ammo, worth to much to throw away, better to pass it on or sell on the forum or trade me. I pick up all brass even if I don't have that caliber as someone might need it one day.

    $5/kg... Would take a few rounds to add up to being worth taking to the scrapie
