Thread: Reload 308 using magnum LRP 2208 powder vs standard LRP 2206H

Here are some results from an unidentified powder in a Barnard action. 155 grain Nosler Custom Competition... similar to the Siera match king
This wasnt an ADI or equivalent powder


LOT A CCI200 Primer 48 grn powder seat depth 2.200 Jump .0525 Vel 2950 fps Es 25 fps
LOT B CCI250 Primer48 grn powder seat depth 2.200 Jump .0525 Vel 2954 fps Es 13 fps
LOT C CCI200 Primer 47.6 grns powder seat depth 2.2050 Vel 2953fps Es 53 fps
LOT D CCI250 Primer 47.6 grn powder seat depth 2.2050 Vel 2915 fps Es 20fps
LOT E CCI200 Primer 47.6 grn powder seat depth 2.2165 Vel 2914 fps Es 37 fps
LOT F CCI250 Primer 47.6 grn powder seat depth 2.2165 Vel 2957 fps Es 44 Fps

Take a careful look at the information, mostly I had lower ES with the magnums and higher velocity. It was all chronied on a magneto and averaged for 5 shots
Another thing it shows is the corelation between seating depth and velocity ( pressure)
Also the flip from lots c and d i never did bother to do a retest of that, I stuck with the 48 grains and magnum primers.
