    Marketing trick

Vast majority of their orders must be under $300, and they score $4 or $5 on each of them when compared to other online retailers.

I've always had good service from Reloaders, Dan is a good guy to deal with, but until they stop charging $10 for posting all items, I'll be taking my business elsewhere... Buying something and being ripped $10 for shipping when a $3 courier post prepaid bag can be used is pretty stink.

When shipping we seldom charge the actual cost of the freight.
If one of our guys spends 1hr loading a pallet strapping and wrapping, who pays for his time?
If Reloaders spend 3hrs a day (as an example) dispatching orders then a bit on top is not uncommon

    Different strokes Sako75

If you look at an online retail model, you don't have a lot of the costs involved in brick and mortar store. These guys run a combination, but they do employ someone full time to do web orders. As a customer, I just don't like getting charged x for a service when I know the actual cost is x-??%,chats just human nature. If you want to charge me a "handling" fee, then fine, I can make a call on that.

Yeah but their margins are usually obscene.

@ebf I find as a rule reloaders shipping charges pretty keen and esp. compared to others.

Still cheaper for me to buy a slab of shotgun ammo from guncity have it shipped for free than it is for me to get it from farmlands here in town

Yet look at the USA prices, I just got in 4 x 5round brownells mags for $16US delivered to me. I am waiting to see the CC so I know the final charge in NZD but should be $21~22NZ range depending on the CC charges the thieving bank adds for the conversion.
