    Reloading 308

Anyone using 2213sc or is 2208 the Pixie Dust? Pill will be 150gr GMK. All the cailbres either side of the 308 have 2213sc as a powder but not the 308.

2208 or varget (same powder repackaged) is the buizzzzznesss in 308win, can't say I've heard of 2213 being used.

2206h is good for shorter barrels too. I'm getting 2715fps with 150gr in a 16" barrel.

2213sc Well on the slow side? I've used 2209 for 284 and 270, and 2213 is even slower, so maybe not ideal?

If undecided about eventual projo weight and are erring on going heavier go with 2208 it will be good for 150 grain and 180s etc.
If undecided and want to go to lighter pills (less recoil faster bullets) go with 2206H

2213 is definitely too slow for a 308. What criteria are you using to assign other cartridges to one side or the other of it?

ADI 2306H and 2208 are good, but IMR4064 is excellent and IMR 4320 and 3031 are also pretty good. Around 45 grains 4064 behind a 150grain sbt is hatd to beat.

Woody has laid the powders out for you. Note that 4320 is no longer manufacturered. You can add BM2 as well.

But the best ones are 2208 and 2206H (Varget and H4895 in American) and usually the most available.

2213 (H4831) is used in bigger cartridges like the .270 and 30/06. I doubt you will even find load data for it in the .308

2208 and 165Gr NBT gives me under 1moa at 100m, no idea of speed as didn't have a chrono to find out was deadly enough on the Billy I took couple weeks ago. I use 2208 in my 22-250 with 55Gr Sierra's as well. I chose my calibres to work with one powder as I'm a known tight arse

Basically you can reload nearly everything if you have some 2208 and 2209.

It's an easy cartridge to feed.2206-2208 Winchester powders work too. Use what you can get a hold of.

Bought some Varget. 44gr's for safety and 45 grs for hotness. Thanks for advice.
