Do you clean the long life crc off again before using the dies again?

I would hope so, if you are leaving a thick deposit inside your precision made die, then any "build up " is going to effect how they perform. To avoid any moisture issues with my dies I keep them in the hot water cupboard, might sound a bit weird but it keeps them in good, dry condition. They are all in hornady bushings so are quick to remove from the press and go into a flat storage container as they no longer usually fit their original box.
If they are not going to be used for a while they get a light wipe over with a gun oil rag and inside too. When they need cleaning a good dose of break cleaner followed by the gun oil rag again. You dont want to apply too much oil to the internal die body as this can cause dents etc just as too much case lube does.

Thanks johnd that's actually not a bad idea, after this I thought I might store them in the safe due to having a heat bar in there which seems to save the rifles too so I'm hoping that'll do the same trick. Good to know about the oil too, my dies certainly are due for a good clean.
