Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms
The RCBS kit would be a great starter should last you a lifetime
all the gear you need to start is there
Nothing wrong with the Lee kit either, I've been using my Lee press for over 35 years no problem.
Opps , I should not say this , BUT I load quite accurate 308 ammo using Lee collet die , My AW shoots it into 1/2 moa or less , 175gr SMK at 2700fps , and IT did well at 600yds the other day .
Later Chris
I use a Lee, havent had it long but done near 150 rounds all up of .270, 300winmag and 300wsm .303 dies on the way then .308 and 6.5 to follow. it seems ok but I havent used any others so I cant compare
VIVA LA HOWA
Most of my gear is RCBS and it seems to work really well. I bought it second hand off TM for press, lube, pad, roller, scales, powder thrower, measures, couple of sets of pistol dies and a heap of other stuff. The press was the only thing not RCBS, a Lee Classic turret. I've bought a few other bits and loaded about 400 rounds so far. Have a Lyman Crusher II press as well now because the Forster collet bullet puller just didn't work with the turret system. Hey, you live and learn.
If you buy that kit and do a pickup be prepared for a long chat with Richard Willhelm.
There are only three types of people in this world. Those that can count, and those that can't!
The kit I got was really good value. By the time I sold off the pistol dies I was out of pocket less than $200. Then it was just a few case prep tools, dies and expendables. The second press is actually really handy at times, but that kit you linked to will see you right.

@munsey, like you Im looking to buy a relaoding setup so Ive been trawling through google and youtube for days. From what I can see the Lee setup is used by even "advanced" users and its $200NZ v $600NZ for the rcbs. So for $400 left you could get add on bits to make the job easier and faster...eg an rcbs electronic scale is $65 (a lot better on my eyes), and ultra sonic case cleaner $200. So personally Im going to go Lee, now the dies maybe a different make, Im still researching those as I want 308 match grade results. (I'm open to opinions on dies, chaps! let the flame wars begin!)
Steel versus Alloy?
I started reloading with the Lee kit (50th anniversary kit). I've been using it for about 4-5 years.
While the quality of other brands may be a bit nicer (ie my Redding die set for my 223 is much nicer than my Lee 7mm08 set), it definitely does the job and does it well.
That said, chuck the powder trickler and scale out because they're useless and buy a decent electronic scale (I bought a dillon personally). All for less than the RCBS price you mentioned.
I upgraded most of the Lee kit.
Still use the press for decapping and priming, as nothing wrong with that.
Use a RCBS Rockcrusher press for sizing and seating.
