In my 6.5 Creedmoor, 42gr of 2209 with a 143gr eldx gave me more high pressure signs than 42gr of RL16 but the RL16 gave me 240fps more velocity than the 2209.
From what Ive read the RL16s burn rate is somewhere between 2208 and 2209 but produces less spiking pressure than both.
Was that with your potentially dodgy original tin of AR2209, or from the replacement one you tried recently?

No way.. it was the new batch.. even 41gr of the old batch ruined brass.
42gr of the new batch gave me a slight sharp primer creator and a light ejector imprint with the 143gr ELDX
How did the RL16 go for you? Is it the weekend yet?
