    Remington Mod 7 Saum

All right you knowledgeable buggas, Mod 7 Saum whats the longest/heaviest bullet that will mag fit and still give decent speed in 7mm (current barrel) and in 300 (spare barrel)? Currently running accurate 150 ELD load at around 3050 fps in a 22 inch barrel, load developed by @Tahr. @GWH

My 162 Amax load is seated too long to fit mag. Its doing 3k from 22 inch.

I run a good old 150 SGK as a mag fit stalking load. Also right at 3k.

You could always test the 162 seated to mag length and see how it shoots, won't be able to fit as much powder in but then case capacity will be less so maybe similar pressure.

Those federal fusion projectiles shoot realy well in all the calibers and loads we've tried so far. might be worth trying some 160's.

Incredibly accurate, even the factory ammo I shoot, its it's awesome. Iv given up buying anything else, they don't get any deader.

Ok going to try the Speer 160 btsp seems to be same length as the 150 ELD so should get a good case of powder in there. Im old, I like bullets with lead in the front.

I used N165 in my saum gave good speed with 162 amax, it is what G Duley recommended for Saums a few years back. I have read anecdotal reports on the web by comp shooters that it gives good barrel life too

I was getting 2930 with mag fit 168vld's and 57.3gns V100 suppressed 22" barrel. Slowed them down now by chopping the barrel back to 18"
