    RL26 loads 7mm Saum

    Morning all
Just got my mitts on the magic powder I have been reading about for a couple of years!

Got it from reloaders supplies fyi.

Would appreciate advice on loads for both 162 and 180 edlm please?

I am using necked down 300saum norma brass and fed 215s

    Cheers

Scratch the 215 and go 210 and if you only go a pound I wouldn’t bother mate just use 2217 but other wise what’s the rifle information standard chamber or longer throat I’m running and il have to confirm when I get home a .145 freebore loads both seated to 2,935 63.6 for 162-168 and 62 for 180 2950 2920 and 2900 fps fed 210s and Adg brass

Run 162 ELDMs in my SAUM, RP brass, COL 2.905 & around 63.0- 63.5gn RL26 for 3000fps in 22in bbl. But work up carefully
Norma brass is usually thinner/lighter than RP (more case capacity) so you might be able to go slightly higher?

Mag fit at the coal which is handy - gave them a dummy round with a 175edlx seated out that still fitted in the mag.

It's amazingly how well the saum goes with a short mag length aye. Most magnums hate these new long pills been stuffed right down into the case but not the little ol saum

Iv seen no advantages to a long action yet when it comes to velocity all finding the same pressure

My load was recommended by @Kelton

168 VLD with 63.6gr Rel 26 in ADG brass. 20” barrel for 2900 fps. I started with 215s but changing to 210s as he mentioned was an absolute game changer, definitely do it if you can. Mine is a true flite barrel too

    I'd be throwing those 168s with rl17! You prob have some.unburnt powder from a 20" with 26
