    sako 85 260rem and the 140gr amax.

    started to work up loads for the sako before i realized that the 140gr amax is no longer made still have a few left but have got some new 143gr eldx on order. seated at 2.900 ( thanks @gimp ) getting 1/2 moa groups and some even better. will be putting a little more powder in for a little more speed yet.     Perfect. this is the if im after. What length of barrel and what speed are you getting?

    In my 6.5 140 Berger Hunting and AMax shoot to the same point of impact with the same load, and the BC's are reasonable close. So bergers' might be an alternative when your Amax's run out if the eldx are in the country.

    I'm using 46.1gr in my straight .260. Long loaded rounds & a looser factory chamber may drop pressures somewhat... what OAL are you & how far off the lands? 2.293 or something in my .260, .1mm jump

    Seems slow if its 2209 at 45.5grs in a 260, im getting 2790 using 44.8grs 2209 pushing a 139 scenar and 2750 same load pushing a 140 vld, 20" barrel model 7

    Edit: VLDs @ 2.900 COL, scenars @ 2.840

    2.300 measured with OAL Gauge 20 thou off the lands. Chambered in Hardy carbon barrel.

    I can get 48 in mine slightly compressed with a 140 Amax.

    yeah 45.5 of 2209 and still room in there no hard lift seated at 2.900
