Thread: Sako a7 mag length?

Anyone have a sako a7 in 7mmr RM that can measure the mag length? Wondering if Its the same as a tikka or is it abit bigger? Cheers

Don’t have one but have had a conversation with a mate who does. They are short, and seating projectiles to the lands is difficult with VLD / sleek profiles. Maybe 88mm?

Hey DLW mate I've got a a roughtech a7 sako and its mag length is 84.5mm I've used vlds in it and had to shoot them singular as they wouldn't fir into the mag

Thanks dicko, am wonder if I can seat 180gr eld inside the mag, not to worried if there’s a big jump just wanna know if it will fit in the mag

DLW, sorry mate cannot answer your question but with the 84.5 mm oal from Riggs you can make up a dummy round and see how it comes together. Ie does the case neck have enough grip on the pill.
