Has any one used the new Sako ammo? I’m thinking about getting some for my .222A1. Before I do was wondering if anyone else has and how well it shoots?

Shoots well in my A2 .308

mrs tried it in her 223 tikka it went well and should be good brass as well
Guy at the gun club tried it in his 7mm rem mag. It grouped pretty well but at the time he hadn't used it on an animal. Bit pricey but at least you can buy in 10 round lots if you don't go through much
Haven't used it but read a test report that it is very accurate but a little slow, that was in a 270.
Back in the day Sako 222Rem was the one & we killed a heap of deer/pigs with it, very accurate & bullets were Deer rated back then .
Cheers for all the input so far lads
Great stuff. The Gamehead (standard soft point) is priced bloody well and shoots ragged hole groups with everything I have run it through. I have tried it in .223, .243 and 308
The Gamehead pro uses the Sierra Gamechanger projectile and have used it in my .308 and 7mm rem mag on game. Absolutely fantastic round and super accurate!
I have also tried some of the TRG Precision ammo in 6.5 creedmoor in a standard tikka, Victrix and a Tac A1. The group out of all of these rifle were 0.3" at 100m.
The other positive is that the brass is fantastic. Same quality, if not better than Norma. So even when you buy the entry level Gamehead, youre getting some serious good reloading brass at the same time.
Have shot the Gamehead Pro in 6.5 creedmore, 6.5x55, .270 win, .308 win, 7mm Rem Mag in various brands of rifle. All shot sub moa and work well on animals.
As said, brass is top notch to reload.
Interestingly enough, it shot a bit average in a couple of tikkas.
I've recently tried the game head pro with Sierra game changer projectile (165gr)in my 7 mm rem mag and found them very accurate , only shot one deer at close range (20mtrs) purposely aimed for shoulder to see how bullet performed when hitting bone.
Bullet smashed through both shoulders showing good but not excessive expansion so promising start. The 10 round box is brilliant idea , makes it a bit easier on the wallet . Cheers
Does anyone have any intel on what type of powder they might be using?
I did some searching but could only find that it was “high quality single base”.
