    Salt Bath Annealing

Just got my kit together. Will be interesting to see how it goes.

Thats cool @Beavis. Are the case holes big enough to fit a WSM case do you think? Is your Lee pot 110v and did you have to purchase a converter for it of some sort?

    Thanks

@Tahr I purchased the Lee pot from Titan Reloading. They do a 220v international model. It comes with no plug, so I needed to get a sparky mate to splice a 3 pin plug on for me. About $110 NZ to my door.

The annealing kit comes from here Ballistic Recreations- Essentials For Salt Bath Annealing – Tools and Accessories for Hobbyist Shooters

The salt is DG so they need to ship it by sea. It took about 6-7 weeks for mine to turn up, but the Salt apparently lasts for thousands of cycles.

They make different size annealing kits, this one would easily fit a WSM I think, just the standard one.

Nice, reading this thread you can use potassium nitrate ( KNO3) and Sodium nitrite (NaNO2) they shouldn't be hard to get in NZ, just need to get the mix right to get the right temp.

Potassium Nitrate is super easy to get here. Just buy off trademe if you don't want to venture out to get some. We use it for speeding up tree stump removal. Unsure about Sodium Nitrate, but imagine it will be the same.
