Thread: Short Barrel Syndrome.

Once the barrel has been shortened then add length with sound moderator...done properly the rifle should be longer and out of balance than the original.

Yes but if your intention was to run a suppressor from the start regardless then by shortening the barrel you are reducing the over all length and improving the balance over a suppressed standard length barrel.
