Ages ago I was shooting Ashlees 260, 140 Amax at 2930ish against a very accurate 6.5-47 with 123 Amax at 3000-3050 ish ???? (long barrel)
The 260 connected several times at 1280 yards the 6.5-47 not so much, if at all same conditions, I had 4.5moa for wind IIRC.
There is no reason why the 6.5 couldn't do it, it managed at 1100, I guess it just run out of steam with the light pill ???
I have noticed the same thing at extreme range with other rigs.
