Short Barrelled 6.5x47 or 260?

I'm getting 2700 with a 20inch .260 and 140 amax with 44grains 2209 pretty warm load tho

People do a lot of things that confuse me.

Haven't chrony'd mine since barrel chop, but was getting just under 2,800fps with 129gr SST's out of 20" barrel (x 47L). Now 18" & changing to swift scirocco 130gr. Must do up some test loads

Average to poor, that's why I'm changing... Had one blow up on the neck of a red spiker @ 150m. Looking straight at me, shrapnel ended up in front shoulder, nothing exited back of neck. Went straight down (as has everything else shot with it) just doesn't give me much confidence in the projectile after seeing that. Shooting will be limited to around 400m so the swifts will still have plenty of velocity to expand

Don't count on it Sam, I had a lot of runners when I tried using 130 Sciroccos in a .260 @2800fps. They drilled tiny little holes, even at close range.

Personal experience?
I have rolled stuff out to just over 800m in my 6.5, on 3 occasions I have got 2 in 1 shot twice on deer once on tahr. Love them best bullet in 6.5 by miles

You an adam, now i eat the bloody things haha.
Did they go well in the 260 dave?

I put Adam onto them last year.
He even made me upload photos of the one from the 6.5-06 on a bull @ 400

They go alright in my .260 but not as good as the Amax accuracy wise so I just plan on using them as bush loads for the roar and Amax for everything else.
