    Sierra Blitzkings

Anyone used these projectiles, whats the performance like? Thinking of trying to get some to try for the 223.

had some 55's for my 243 ... they took a shitload of powder to get them moving ... So I went to Vmax 58's ... much better.

that said their accuracy was ok ... not as good as the vmaxes, mind , but still ok ...

Blitzkings are a better 'all around' projectile IMO than the V-Maxes.
Not as explosive on the critters, so better on the bigger animals such as goats. V-Maxes blow up immediately, as intended, so not recommended for goats.

I dropped a mob of 12 goats with my suppressed .223 and the 55gn Blitzkings, all with chest shots, upon meat recovery, all the stinkies had their heart and lungs totally vapourised.

Got a sampler pack of each coming for a bit of play. Hoping the Blitzkings will improve things a bit with their higher BC and I'm intending to use them on smaller deer.

I was shooting 90gr Blitzkings from my 303-25 on Goats but found that sometimes it would put a hole the size of your fist in the entry side of the goat and go no further. Very accurate projectile but I would only use for hunting varmints.

    cheers LR
