Thread: sks, 7.62 x 39 handload info

Looking to load for the sks and using AR2206H, what combos are others using that gives same as or better than the steel case ammo which is around 4'' at 75m. The sks is the 20 inch barrel norinco model.

Just use the adi book loads that is if you can find the cases and they arent too badly beat up. Mine shoots privi to the same group size as the barnaul steel case sp (35 mm) at 100m and you cant reload cheaper than you can get that stuff.
I might consider reloading if I had a bolt gun but otherwise.....

I have the ADI manual and am posting this on behalf of another re loader who is using 123gr hornady projectiles, highland brass, cci primers, 28 grains of ar2206h but getting huge groups compaired to factory ammo so I posted this to see if others have found better results with other powder combos?

foxhound my bolt gun and mates bakail likes that load no issues.......have gone to lil gun powder as had some sitting around. I use .308 dia pills through mine and still get 2-3" all day long.
