    sdogg, try a lactic acid product.

    as seen as your in hastings, your local farm lands should have either a product called kiwi lustre or jewel. (kiwi lustre might actually be a fruitfed product) talk to them and ask for a product with lactic acid as the active ingredient its used for washing kiwifruit or probably apples too. you spray it on.
    I mix it 50/50 or maybe a little weaker. I use it in a beaker inside the sonic cleaner. after I rinse out brass in dish washing water, then another rinse in straight hot water.
