    Speed estimation.

Any idea? 42.5 of R17 pushing a 143 eldx out of a 20”... yet to chronograph hence the stupid question.

All good. Someone with quickload may be of more use but you should be close to the 2800 fps mark.

You could work it out by drop at 100, 200, 300m and work backwards on paper
And sort your longer ranges drop at the same time

Yep. I was at 300m today but didn’t have time to work at 200.
Chronograph is arriving any day just thought I’d ask.

I'll have a guess and say 2750fps. Were you happy with the accuracy of the 143gr @Danny?

I’d say ok, I’d also say I’ve heard mixed things with this projectile. Off the cuff I’d say Sierra GK and pro hunter are looking a lot better but I’m chasing bc early on while still developing.

With 45.5grs of 2209 with the 143gr ELD-X I do 2750~ out of an 18" barrel @Danny. Mate has given me some Sierra pro hunters to try but have just developed a load for the Sierra 130gr hpbt gameking and with 43.5grs of 2209 I am doing 2700fps~. Should be a good bush load however down the line may go to h414 for more speed

If you give me your OAL and your fired case capacity in GR's water I put hem though quickload.
I put it through at 2.8in and quickloads std case capacity of 53.25gr water and get 2751fps that is over pressure at 63730psi

Beemans load for his 260is 45 grs AR 2209 with ELD X for 2772 fps with standard length barrel in a Sako Carbon light, very accurate and we can't fault the 143gr bullet on game out of either 6.5 mine being a 6.5 X 55 at about the same speed. I fired a 3shot group the other day into 9/16 inch at 100 yards, pretty happy with rifle and load combo.
