    Speed vs Acuracy

Ok just finish my work with 2206h and 139 sst out of a 16.5 inch barrel 7mm08
    Two loads have stood out
    39gr grouping at 0.5moa doing 2550fps
    And
44gr grouping at 1.5 moa doing 2730fps slight primer flattening
I cannot decide, has anyone got experance with this bullet going a bit slow?

id go slow for sure .5moa is way better. at 300 yards you will be at 1.5 inchs going slow and at 2730 4.5 inchs. Id go slower to for sure. wind cutting with be better going faster but that dosnt matter i assume shooting out of a barrel that short your not shooting really fast.

Not unless you reload really fast as well
Your "slow" load is doing standard 6.5x55 speed with the same weight bullet. No one really complains bout the swedes hitting power but everyone talks about its accuracy

That's a big difference in group sizes. If it were 0.5 vs 0.7 moa then I would maybe choose the speed but not for that bigger difference.
Then again, it is a group size. If you are hunting, it is the first shot (and usually only the first shot in my experience) that counts.

39.5 and 40gn were moa but no real velocity gain. Got out to 2.5 moa around book max of 42 then started shrinking.

120 and 140 B Tip both shoot very well in the 7 08 that I load for with 2208 at 3000fps and 2820fps but with a 20" barrel.

Go with the slow load. SSTs are quite soft and will perform well.

I reckon the 120 nosler BT would be worth a try for sure.

The 120 BT's are good... I'm shooting 120 gr Sierras and love them.

What brass are you using as different brands of cases will also play a difference?

What rifle are you shooting out of?

    I'm using AR2206H in my 7mm-08 but I haven't chronographed it, others I know use AR2208, CFE223

Rifle is a sauer 100 and i am using rem brass, but will be changing to lapua shortly as they have nearly done there dash and im not happy with the life span i got from remington(4th firing pockets loose)
Ive had good results with sst and speer 145s.
    Eldx 150 not so much.
I did think of 2208 to try getting eldx shooting because i really like that bc and speed was good 2650ish but shit groups.
