What sort of guns you after info on? In pistol calibres at low sub speeds, I like them as they are one of the few that reliably expand down past 850fps. They usually have a couple of jacket thicknesses specified depending on the use. EG in 357 they have ones designed for supersonic and also the 135grain 'SB' aka short barrel designed for 38 special snubs.
@northdude, you've probably watched the videos of these bullets on Youtube. Pretty impressive. The mushrooms that guys get in gel and so on are near perfect. I want some for my .223 but my twist is too slow, you need 1:8".
Just...say...the...word
looking at 120gr 6.5 to try in 6.5 06 havnt seen any vids on them
made by speer...they will be awesome..enough said.
140 gn version be ok in 6.506 aswell
Used the .223 factory loaded 64 gr. on goats.
Relatively tough for a .223, not at all explosive. A reliable killer that I'd be happy to use on pigs or deer with appropriate shot placement.
I only used these for hunting with my AR. It took a few fallow, countless goats, and 2 Tahr (a bull and a Nanny). Never took the AR hunting to much but it killed with this round well. And they are cheap. I brought a bunch from Custom Guns in Invers and it worked out around 80c a round
Yep just this morning a 120gn out of a 6.5cm at about 2900
At 100 yards it took both lungs and cut the spine in 3
Left about a 20mm exit hole
Only a yearling but after seeing the Performance I wouldn’t Hesitate takeing a much larger animal
I will say though @northdude in my honest opinion I love 120’s is 6.5cm/260 6.5x47 etc
But I think in a 6.5-06 the 140 would be the way to go
I know you already have some 120’s but i could offer you a swap for a box of 140’s if you wanted
I'll try them tomorrow and see how they go
