speer hot cores 145 GRN 7mm

anyone used these bad boys? have access to quite a few of them and they look like the business on paper, the load data with win staball 6.5 looks like they can be driven fast. looking to develop a short to medium range load in the 17 inch kimber.
anything to note? easy to find an accurate load for? performance on game?
currently using 139 interlocks and 2206 but the Speers look new and shiny....you know how it is....can't help but wonder if the grass is greener...🤔

if it comes in a yellow or black box with SPEER on it...it will be good.should all things being equal be slightly softer than your hornadies..but in a good way. never seen or used a bad speer pill in fourty years of hunting.

    Greetings @Blackfern,
I have been using the 145 grain flat base Hot-Cor for 600 yard F-Class shooting and they shoot very well. I am loading 41 grains of AR2206H (Hodgdon book max) in Lapua cases with Fed 410 primers. Velocity in a 26 inch barrel is 2,800 fps. The factory BC of 0.416 checks out with my chronographed muzzle velocity and the 600 yard velocity from our target system.
    Regards Grandpamac.

Speer HC are excellent pills, easy to find accurate load (like most flat base cup n core projectiles) & devastating performance on game - provided the shooter does their bit in placement
