    Post Subsonic 30-30

Anyone interest in those factory subsonic 30-30 starting 2020? Would be interesting to reload those bullets at home.

I have a box of the 190gr projectiles to try out. I have been using 151gr cast bullets from shooternz, 7.5gr of Trailboss to be subsonic in my 16 inch barrel M94.

I'd like to know more. Does one one need to add a filler aka black powder style or do you simply load with 7.5gr trail boss?

Just the Trailboss, no filler needed, the Trailboss is quite bulky, if I recall correctly a case filled to the bottom of the neck was about 10 grains for 30-30 and 15 for 308. Standard large rifle primers.
7.5 grains is also the subsonic load in my 1:12 twist 308.

Yes, try @shooternz's cast 151 grain boolits. He sends them to you 50 at a time: cast, swaged and with grooves lubed. Why bother DIY?

The Hornady 190gr Sub-X projectile is just under 1.3 inches long, the 170gr interlock is under 1 inch so I may have stability issues in the 30-30. The online calculator agrees, but it will be fine in my fast twist 308, which is the suppressed rifle anyway. I think currently only the 190 is available for reloading.

I checked my notes, it's 11 grains to the bottom of the neck for the 30-30.
