A mate of mine achieved sub-sonic in a 22" .280 using trailboss. So surely you can do it too.

No I don't have a 7x57 but I have an 8 x57 and a 9.3 by 57 and they all have lead loads. 10 grains of unique used to be the default setting for just about everything when I started.
I know that these are supersonic mostly but they are from a 19 60s Lyman book and may be of interest. 10 gr blue dot is my std load for the 3030 has been for 20 years

And dont use 'fillers', seems to increase pressures. When I was a kid, old-guys would fill 30-06, 7x57 cases with bue-dot, weigh it, halve it, and use that as a Max-load. Sounds crazy but seemed to work, anyone else come across this ?
