Thread: T3 300winmag loads

Hi guys, I have a mate with a Tikka T3 in 300winmag who Im going to do some load development for.
Was looking at using a 180gr Speer BTSP fitted to mag length for the close stuff and perhaps single feeding the 208 Amax for long range.
Hopefully both pills will perform with the same powder?
Just wondering if anyone on here is using a similar setup and/or can offer any advice with regards to this calibre, setup?

Pm 30calterry his Amax loads for me are perfect no recoil devastating to 450 mtrs Haven't had the chance to try further than that

I was lucky with the first load I tried. The rifle had been previously set up by Andrew (7mmsaum) and he had obviously made a good job.

Rem700 300winmag, 180 grn Nos BT, magazine length, 75.5grn R22, 3155fps, .5" groups. 24" barrel & Hardy suppressor.

Awesome thanks for the info guys, have PMed 30cal terry. Sounds like 2217 is the powder for the single feed amax loads, does anyone have a close range load running the same powder so I dont have to use 2 different types? Tahr how far are you seating the Noslers from the lands?

2225 and 210smk be the go, should be able to get 2800 single feed

They are just magazine length, so I don't really know.
