Thread: Testing the new 6.5 143gn ELD-X

Sent last week chasing Sika stags with my 6.5x284 and the 143gn ELD-Xs. Managed two good sized animals and recovered 1 x bullet, the bullet in the photo ended up weighting 90gns lost 53gns when breaking a shoulder bone then traveling down through lungs liver and came to rest under the skin on otherside. Was a up hill shot 25deg and 318mtrs then needed a second round through the neck after running 20mtrs towards us. The second stag was at 258mtr downhill moving away from us, round went in high behind shoulder and ended up somewhere inside, ran 50 mtrs before dropping. Overall pretty happy with their performance, thou l had great success with the old A-Max's.
