Thread: Throw your kestrel away!

I have now had bryan litz ballistic app for a week and was reading about the latest update that says that it now supports the samsung s4 weather sensors.
I finally worked out where they are on the app and how to work them.
They have the three that are essential for ELR. temp, station pressure and humidity.
Been the sceptic that I am first of all I researched the fact that have thwse phones got these sensors, yep they certainly do!
Second is there any possibility that they read the same as my kestrel?
Well fuck my brown dog! They are pretty much identical!
It turns out that my glitch filled shooter program mr sean kennedy has refused to fix has done me a favour as it made me spend my $35 with mr litz.
So there you go just the excuse you need to splash out and buy that new phone you have been thinking about!
As a plus it has all the fruit you will ever need no matter what your skill level.
I am not sure if these adons work on the s3 and presume they work on the s5

Toby,there are other apps that do wind but you need to spend some money to get an app that you can calibrate of your kestrel or wind meter to.

Hey mate, does the phone get the pressure reading from the nearest station it can find or does it have a sensor that gives actual reading at your loc?

It has a pressure sensor in the phone.
The phone also has a light meter it turns out as well!

Looks mint, so the litz program will automatically update all these values and plug them into your solution without promoting?

When you are inputting your weather data you just touch the left hand phone button and it gives you these options
