Thread: Tikka 270 145eldx load

A late update for the thread.

I reran the the RL26 and 145 ELDx testing last week to drill down on the accuracy node in my R700 with a 24"tube.
Got the following speeds.. (NB. Data points from 1 or 2 shots only)

Also ran almost the same loads (59 - 61 gns) with a 140 Nosler BT. Velocities were almost identical for similar charges. If looking for a RL 26 substitute then RL 22 at 58 to 62 grains with the 145 ELDx gave 2923 to 3097 fps with 60 gns and 3017 seeming to be where the sweet spot is. So RL22 could be a reasonable fall back.
