I have read up a lot on various 270 loads as I want to improve on 2213. Sorting through the chaff I found very well conducted testing with RL26. It gave great velocity but with no ejector scrape or other common signs of pressure it wrecked the primer pockets. Even when loads were reduced right down the primers were loose. A 24" barrel produced only 7fps velocity increase over a 22". The person who produced the youtube vid said ' This is a most unusual powder, I have never found another powder to behave like this ever before". On a load development thread Superformance gave consistently good results with no high pressure spikes and one poster wrote that the Superformance brew that is sold to the public is the one that Hornady load in 3006, hence it's suitability for 06 based cases. Loads above 57 grn were not uncommon, with 60 grn SF behind a 129gr LRX producing 3350 with 23" barrel and 58.5 in the same rifle 3200. Rule of thumb was to start with lowest weight for 2213 and increase 1/2 gr intervals. 130 gr Barnes TSX on 59 gr SF 3150fps. 140 TSX 58gr SF 26" barrel 3202 130 TSX 59.5 SF 26" barrel 3296.
