    Is the 5.6 the one with odd diameter projectiles? If it is I'd do 22/243

    As far as I'm aware it's std .224, the only difference I know is the neck on the case is a tad thicker.

    There is another one similar but I think is .228 diameter. It has a very similar name.
    I'd go with the 5.6x57R then, but then my next rifle is 7x65R so I am a bit biased towards different cartridges.
    What rifle is it going in? A Ruger No1?

    Yeah I'm a bit the same, had give thought to a 6.5x68RWS at one stage, the Europeans make some nice stuff.

    No, will be leaving the No.1 as a .204, not a good rifle to play with. This will be in my traditional Ruger M77 Hawkeye...
