Called lubing.
Did they go far enough into the die to de-prime? I think that's more like the spud that goes into the neck is a bit large, maybe dirty, and it's happening well before the case is fully into the die. I think if it was case length, then the bulge would be into the case, not out of it, because the die wall will not let the case bulge out.
Ray.
I had them deprimed ok . It was when seatin the projectile . ive pulled them .

Die set to low and trying to roll crimp case mouth?
Trim all cases to same lenght, wind seater die down till touches case then back up half turn
Cheers

If done when seating you need to chanfer the mouth its just picking up on the projectile an squishing the neck........................................but you also need to trim the shell on the bottom has a ring around it near the end because its to long in the chamber

diagnosing problems
I managed to get the same result by setting a bullet pulling collet too low. just the slight movement of getting the handle moving was enough, on a press that is meant to not have any downward movement at the top of the stroke.
yep seating die set too low. running 308 through a 7mm08 collect die is another way to achieve the same effect (neck size from 308 to7mm, collect dies will work once fired- not that you asked about these cals)
