    @robh500

    Here's a copy of a powder burn rate comparison chart from the Reloaders Nest Website that lists the Nobel Powders.

    Powder Burn Rate Comparison Chart @ www.reloadersnest.com

    Number 1 powder on this list is the fastest burning powder and number 267 is the slowest burning powder

    As you already probably know Nobel Powders are designated by numbers but also by also by firearm type e.g. Rifle powders, Pistol Powders, Revolver powders and Shotgun powders.

    The prefix's being
    Rifle = RIF followed by the number
    Pistol = PIS followed by the number
    Revolver = Rev followed by the number
    Shotgun = NOB followed by the number
    It's important not to get these mixed up.

    Firstly you have to find out if your Nobel No1 Powder is Rifle, Pistol or Revolver powder (shotgun powders start with no 78) this should be written on the Tin.

    Once that's determined you can look it up on the Burn Rate Chart for equivalent powders and use the data for these powders as your starting point when working up your loads.

    Always use caution and start with minimum powder loads.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers
    Pete
