Variances in 6.5mm: Berger vs Hornady vs Nosler

Fun test loading up for 260AI and randomly weighing projectiles to advertised weight for load testing. How many had to be weighed before reaching 6 in each brand. Mr Berger 2 thumbs up (and the 2 that didn't make the cut were 140.1gn each).

ELD-Xs tended to be under 2-4gn (6 in the middle are 142.9gn).

Nosler had all over the paddock with 1gn spread.

So now you need to load up 5 with the same weight & 5 with random weights, several times, shoot them & see if there is a discernible difference in group size
veitnamcam, Blaser, tetawa and 5 others like this.

What Nosler know though is that it makes no difference.

Would only make a difference if you were trying to shoot consistent tiny group at long range ....for hunting, I wouldn't worry about it.
