Graham Henry wrote an article about this powder in the late eighties & recommended using IMR4831 data, that's what I did with a 280 & had no problems.
When i use to run around the hills with little guns i tryed G.Henrys 270win Vit n160 loads and split cases and had funny taste in my mouth, 130gn chronyd at 3200fps out of 22" tube.
When i learnt how to load and not trust anyone elses loads i used N160 with great results.
56grs for 130gr rem @3050fps or 54grs for 150gr sierra bt @2915fps
58 grn with 130grn works ok in my 270. Norma brass. Warm load.
I would keep the n160. It will work.
Ok guys I will take the advice and keep the powder and give the stuff a chance and if it does work out that shop has one more container of it for the price I got it at.
@hunter308
First off get a better reloading manual like my new one :D
140gr N160 50gr-2588fps---55.5gr-2929fps
