    What is this ADI brass?

Can anyone shed light on this brass? Supposedly its 223. I would have thought it would be stamped 223, so I'm wondering if its military perhaps.
    Cheers.

Yeah military. I reload it on the progressive press. Good as any other brass. Belmont ammo use it.

It's 5.56x45 military which is subtly not 223 Rem.
    Google the differences.

Great, thanks for the replies. Does that mean it'll have had boxer primers? What does the 16 reference?
    Cheers.

Military brass has crimped primers (see the 3 stabs in your photo) so the primer pocket need reaming to ensure easy primer seating. ADI boxer primed 2016 5.56/.223.

I wouldn't say that. I use Lapua for serious stuff. It is what it is, cheap and cheerful and more consistant than some of the othere out there. Same goes for the ADI 7.62X51.
And you don't get too upet if you lose any.

I got most of mine a range pickups.
Funny, you don't see it lying around at the ranges anymore. Can't understand why...

This is all the brass the average man needs. You can load some very accurate ammo with it. Just be aware there are issues with case head seperation with the "12" dated batch.
