Try 55gr GMK on top of 748. Just done 100. Due to do another 400. Price to pay to shoot deer from the kitchen window.Quote:

Got a handful of 165 grain btsp interlocks off a mate, loaded them to same overall length as factory stuff that shoots really well in my wsm. Test them out tomorrow.
Goal is to imitate a 308/3006 load for close stuff. Should be around 2800 fps (as long as it shoots and inch or so I'll be happy).

You're not seeing things, that case on the left is 5 thou shorter than the others :thumbsup:
Long day.....decap, anneal, full length size, tumble, inner chamfer, outer chamfer, prime, load charges and finally seat boolits :x_x:
But I'm now ready for Stewart Island :cool:

Productive wet weekend was suppose to be validating but the rain didn’t play ball so loaded instead between games with a busy 2.5 year old, should see the rest of the year out.
36gns of 2208. I haven't chronographed it yet but GRT recons 2038.5fps from my 16" barrel.Quote:

Hey thanks Shearer, be keen to know how you get on. Was given a couple boxes of old Norma 170 gn flat nose pills for .30/30 s I think. Looking for a similar velocity load in my .308.

@Shearer what are you going to be using those rounds for? An intriguing load.
