I know that feeling
Some 6mm ARC load development .
18 rounds of a mild load that showed potential previously to confirm it is actually consistent, and another 6 that are “ Spicy “ to see if I can find the limit of pressure and maybe find another accurate combo at a higher velocity .

Alpha brass looks legit.
Always wanted to see how 168 bergers shot in my 7/08. A short ladder and 10rnds @40gn varget ready to go when the weather plays ball.

Another dozen subsonic .44magnum possum busters for mate.
At the range the other day - Holy Smoke 2fg is the best load yet. Fraser from Pard was there with the new Labradar. Load tested out at average of 1775 fps. Most accurate so far.
A bit of lead in the bore so might need to go a bit harder.
Very impressed with the Labradar!
Yes, it does give a BC - about .125 in my case, so nearly the BC of a brick.
Loaded 50x 222 Rimmed with 55 grain Hornady and 3 rounds with 40 grain Hollow points which I will test tomorrow because I have about a thousand of them and it would be nice if they shoot ok

sing out if you want to swap some of your 40gn hollow points for some 55gn RN (or the RNFP I have modified in the lathe...) what velocity are you shooting them at? (give or take obviously) that looks like a pretty big soft tip on them. Are they for smashing small game?
Having a lot of fun with the subsonic 222. The crimp die arrived, and groups noticeably tightened up with a gentle crimp... pic below taken at 25m target, ignore the flyer, I was determining the point of impact, below the bull is a four shot group - wasn't really trying, so it'd be interesting to see if I could do any better or just fluked it. Got under 1" groups at 75m and 100m as well when checking POI. @flock, you should have stuck around for a go! Ready to bust some bunnies now... plan next is for a 1800fps load to still use the cheap projectiles and low powder load (checking against Lyman cast bullet handbook loads as reference) which should be good out to 150m at least. Trouble will be finding somewhere to shoot to confirm POI past 100m...
have loaded another 20-odd rounds tonight, ready for some action. Very quick process using neck sizing die, no lubing required.
